Who Needs a Bluetooth USB Adapter?

Bluetooth technology has spread far and wide. It enables the connection and exchange of information among computer-based appliances through low frequency (2.4 GHz) radio signals, thus totally eliminating the need for wires. This way you can use your computer to interface with video game consoles, cell phones, printers, other laptops, digital cameras, and set your Private Area Networks (PANs) without involving any wire connection.

The Bluetooth usb adapter is one of the inventions of Bluetooth technology. If you have computers and other devices that do not have an inbuilt Bluetooth compatibility, and you want to use it with another Bluetooth enabled device, you need not worry because with the help of a Bluetooth usb adapter (commonly known as a dongle), all such devices can be made compatible.

The Bluetooth usb adapter is a 3-inch long device that needs to be inserted in the usb port of your computer, making it compatible with the other Bluetooth enabled device. There are many different brands of Bluetooth adapters available on the market today, so buy the one that supports your headset protocol. With the support of a Bluetooth adapter you can now listen to music using your Bluetooth headset.

This Bluetooth technology has made it possible for people to travel wherever they want, without having to worry about carrying luggage filled with cables and wires to connect their laptop with their printer, their PDA, their fax machine, etc. You simply have to use your Bluetooth usb adapter to connect with any Bluetooth enabled device that you want to use.

Also, the Bluetooth usb adapter enables you to set up your PAN which provides you with a wireless network with which you can communicate with other computers, synchronize your PDAs, send and receive messages from your cell phone, download data from different sources such as your digital camera, MP3 player, etc.

The Bluetooth usb adapter solves your problem of connecting two devices wirelessly even if they are not Bluetooth enabled. Thanks to this versatile technology, communication has never been more easily and conveniently accessed.

FA Cup Third Round Betting Review

There were not many surprises in the FA cup third round, but the shock results in the minority were certainly spectacular ones.

manchester United remain 9/2 second favourites despite whimpering to a goalless draw against non league Burton Albion. This was the second time in as many seasons the Reds have been held by Conference opposition, although it will mean a lucrative payday for Nigel Cloughs side when the two sides replay at old Trafford.

Middlesbrough were also held to a draw by Conference north side Nuneaton Borough. former Leicester City apprentice Gez Murphy scored a 90 minute penalty to level matters after Gaizka Mendieta gave Boro the lead after 15 minutes.

Fulham became the first premiership side to be dumped out of the cup, going down 2-1 at home to league Two side Leyton Orient on sunday afternoon.

sunday proved to be a bad day for premiership sides with Tottenham Hotspur the next victims. The perennial FA cup underachievers surrendered a two goal lead at Leicesters Walkers stadium with the Foxes winning an entertaining match 3-2. Despite the stunning victory, championship outfit Leicester remain 200/1 underdogs to win the cup.

Elsewhere it was business as usual for the premiership sides. chelsea, favourites at 11/4 needed an 81 minute winner to see off plucky Huddersfield while 11/2 third favourites arsenal had a late scare against battling Cardiff but clung on for a 2-1 victory.

liverpool (13/2) were involved in a remarkable match with Luton Town, in which they found themselves 3-1 down after the break, although three goals in 12 minutes restored the Reds lead to 4-3, with Xabi Alonso scoring from inside his own half at the death for Liverpools fifth, a goal which earned one lucky punter over 25,000 after placing a bet on him achieving such a feat.

Blackburn despatched QPR by a convincing 3-0 as did Bolton away at Watford, while struggling Sunderland managed the same against non league Northwich Victoria.

A host of ties could only muster a single goal in the premiership sides favour, with 25/1 newcastle edging past Mansfield, Gareth Barrys goal being enough for Aston Villa (33/1) to see off Hull and 100/1 outsiders Portsmouth to win at Ipswich.

The third round isnt over for Everton who drew 1-1 at Millwall, a scoreline repeated by West Brom against Reading and Wigan Athletic against Leeds. Birmingham City could only muster a goalless draw at league Two side Torquay United.

Fixing the XBox 360 - Repairing the 3 Red Lights on Your XBox

As an owner of any kind of hardware knows, breakdowns arent uncommon and they always seem to happen right when you are in the middle of something. In the PC, we have the notorious blue screen of death. On the xbox 360 this phenomenon is known as the classic "3 Red Rings of Death".

So what do you do when this happens to your XBox? First of all, don't panic. In nearly all cases, your XBox can be fixed and the 3 red lights error will go away. Before doing anything, try these simple solutions first:

  1. Is your xbox very hot? put your hand on the box. Does it seem unnaturally hot? If so, it may have overheated. Simply unplug your xbox from the power supply and give it some time to cool down. In future, make sure that your xbox has plenty of ventilation around it -- so dont throw your clothes on top of it or locate it with the vents next to a wall. Make sure air can circulate in and around it.
  2. After youve unplugged your xbox and while it is cooling down, grab a can of compressed air and use it to blow into all the vents. Dust trapped within your equipment can cause it to overheat -- both on your xbox and your PC. If you don't have compressed air handy, you can try using a hair dryer if it has a cold setting. just don't blow more hot air into the thing.

After youve let it cooled, plug it back in and see if the 3 red lights error has disappeared. If it hasnt now you need to consider what to do next. If your xbox is still under warranty, it is easy enough to return it for a repair or replacement -- however you need to keep in mind that if you send it in to the warranty center, you probably won't have it back for at least two months.

The other alternative is to fix it yourself. There are a couple of different repair guides available for the xbox designed to get rid of the 3 red rings and following the instructions is pretty simple and this is the best way to go if your xbox is either out of warranty or you do not have the patience to wait two months.

I fixed my xbox myself while it was still under warranty because I didn't have the patience to wait and since then haven't had any problems, but it's up to you whether you want to do that. If it's under warranty, you void the warranty when you open the machine up. However -- the red lights repair is very easy and since this is usually the main thing that goes wrong with the xbox, it's usually worth doing. Also, some of the available solutions dont even involve opening up your xbox, so if one of those works for you, you're all set with your warranty protection.
